Bringing Fall Indoors

Now that I’m over my initial fall blues - the end of warm weather, flowers, and outdoor enjoyments of nature - I’m able to start appreciating the beauty of fall.

One way to nurture an appreciation of fall is to bring fall indoors.  To do this, I decorated our kitchen table with items that represent the fall season.

On the table I have the following:

- gold shimmery cloth,
- orchid plant (not currently in bloom),
- vase of freshly cut mums,
- Indian corn,
- dumpling squash,
- miniature pumpkins,
- small dish,
- a single red tree leaf, and
- wired ribbon (purchased this week for 50% off).

Do you have fall items you like to set around the house?

Nice pics! I like the first one the best. I always look forward to putting the fall wreath on the door and carving pumpkins to sit next to the fireplace. Of course, the family pumpkin carving time is what I enjoy the most!!

That’s a great way to bring fall indoors, and having the pumpkins sit [safely] next to a warm fireplace might also create a YUMMY aroma throughout the house.

I remember my mom carving pumpkins to sit on our front porch. Neat memories…
