  • For most of my life, autumn has been my favorite season. The bold colors, the cooler temperatures, the soft breezes, and, of course, the holidays, all make it such a pleasure. In the past few years as I have developed my cottage garden, spring has also become a favorite with all of its bursting beauty after a long winter. Although I love to bask on island shores, I don’t think I could ever give up the joy of the seasons.

I also appreciate something about each season. I find that having to say “goodbye” to an especially favorable season, makes me long for it and cheerish it that much more.

I love the smells and temperatures of early Fall, but if I had to pick a whole season that I love the most, it would be summer. I just love the warmth of the sun.

  • Hello Yourgardeningfriend,
This might be off topic, however, I would have to say 2003 was my favorite season, even though it ended in such dramatic fashion (and it literally broke my heart). I was only twelve, so baseball was the only thing that consumed me, not real world stuff. To me, it just had a magical quality, like I never even doubted the Cubs were going to win the World Series.

2007 and 2008 were fun seasons, but they ended so blah and boring.
    Great Job!
Us morel enthusiasts are getting exited for the season. I will be back to check in with your blog again. Fab Post on mushrooms.
